Just wanted to drop a line and tell you, you guys rock, we should get together sometime.
Juline, are you so ready to hate me??? Twilight is an amazing book, mostly because like Harry Potter it is getting a lot of people reading and has a great ability to create uniquely intriguing characters. This also portrays an amazing love story.
The thing that truly spoils the whole thing for me, is that it displays this amazing, intoxicating relationship between two individuals that places the giddy, crazy, exciting kind of love, and places it as the does all, says all, is all, top of the top, cream of the crop relationship,
However, being married for eight years has allowed me to clearly realize what true love is, two people growing through lives pains and joys together, the really, really crappy stuff along with the amazingly good stuff. I guess I feel like young people everywhere reading this book probably get the wrong impression of love,
See it is that very love, crazy, romantic, and fun that allows two people to fall for each other, and make the biggest most important decision of their lives, marriage.
But only when that love is harvested into a cultured love, one that allows the other to put up with the foibles of the other, that inspires them to work hard to capture the creating moments of their life together.
Like when I hold one of my babies at night and sing to and comfort them, or kiss my wife goodbye in the morning, and then go to work, the ordinary stuff that makes up the everyday life of each one of us, the things that seem simple to others, but mean the most to our families.
I guess what I am trying to say is as well as it is written, as intense as the emotions this book creates, it also creates a Hollywood love and misses the truly good, simple and sometimes bitterly sweet moments in life that create the real true love story, kind of like the one you and Jeff, are living.
Things are amazingly imperfect, and that is exactly what makes it so good, what takes your love for each other beyond the fair tail into real life and creates something not even the most talented of writers could create.
Wow sorry, I love the book I just hope readers can look past the perfectly crafted story book love and know that the joys of love and life sit right before them,
Like little Adi and her beautiful depiction of the letter "A" on the not so perfect place for it the wall. (Ha-ha) That is real and is true, and you and Jeff, Brigette and I, and many others I know and love are so very blessed to have it. Give me true, real life love over fantasy any day of the week, even the really bad days. Because that is what makes me happy that is what brings the really good days into light and makes them so very sweet.
So I told you, you would hate me (ha ha)

If that joy comes from reading a love story involving vampires and werewolves. Do you really think people need a reality check on what life is all about? Its a fantasy book, and most people I know have the intelligence to differentiate between "fantasy" and "reality". I understand you are a seminary teacher so this may help. The man you recognize as a prophet, Thomas S. Monson often quotes "fairy tales" and other works of fantasy (C. S. Lewis) useful for there ability to teach principles. Men are that they might have joy. If these books bring Juline some joy and give her a mental break from the everyday routine good for her. So Relax Marty and be grateful the world is full of diverse people.

Yeah! I think Kamri was right! Everyone seems a little passionate today! W-O-W! Quinn, Thanks for being my protector! I agree most definitely with what you said...you freakin rock! Now Marty!...I am not hating you. I know you have the best of intentions. But...have you even read all of the twilight saga books? If you had read all of these books you would be able to see that you are very wrong. I understand what you were trying to say. The love that Edward and Bella have is still very strong and unique. It is out of this world...but doesn't that fit...THIS IS A BOOK! I am so happy with how this book gets you to know each character like you are right there living what they are living. I can honestly say that while I was reading this book and Bella the main character was getting butterflies when Edward just sat too close or leaned toward her, I got butterflies! I felt that excitement that the author was describing. It made me remember those same feelings I felt when I was falling in love with Jeff and I am so thankful for that. I am sure that every person who reads these books realizes that the love that they feel a part of while reading is something that they want to. Isn't that a good thing? If every younger girl who reads this book feels even a little bit of the love the author portrays and it makes them want that same kind of... butterflies in your stomach, gitty, die for you love,that is most definitely out there and real,than they are lucky to get that out of a book!...and if it gives them something to hope for in their own life than fan-fricken-tastic! I think this book is awesome! As you have seen in all my posts you won't be able to change my mind where these books are concerned. I hope that every little girl that reads these books feels like the love they read about can happen to them...yes it is about vampires and warewolves and it is fiction but if people who read this book feel hope, love, excitement, or just get a wanted escape into a different world than yeah for us! Also...if you read all the books you will enjoy them...whether it is the 'right' kind of love or not you will be entertained. I hope you will open your mind to these books again and think of them from a different, less critical view. These books move only on where the readers imagination takes them. So in all these different imaginations, old and young, boys and girls, something from these books is grabbing them and that just means that...man...these are really good books!So Marty, open up that imagination just little bit more! ...if anyone has anything bad to say about these books, not that what you, Marty , was saying was negative...don't come saying it to me!...I will BEAT YOU DOWN!!!!and so will Quinn! ha ha! Hey, no form of disrespect was meant, In fact Quinn I don’t know if we were reading the same blog, because you got all crazy on me like I killed your favorite pet rock or something. Opinions are each individuals feelings or beliefs about something, if you were reading what I wrote I remember saying something like: real love like what Jeff and Juline have is much better than make-believe, when writing a blog most people just realize that the person writing is stating their opinion, however, for you Quinn I should have wrote something more like, “IN MY HUMBLE AND INCONSEQUENTIAL OPINION, I think real love is better than fiction. Sorry for my bloging assumption that those reading would consider this as an opinion.
Seriously what is all the heat about I have just as much right to see the flaws in a book, as others have the right to see it as ultimate perfection. Please Quinn don’t misconstrue my frustrations with a book as an all out nuclear war on Juline and her reading choices. I have to laugh at your assumption that because I have a difference of opinion than you, that I am close minded or opposed to diversity, when in fact that is the very thing my comment was offering a difference of opinion, why is it that we all embrace difference, unless of course it is in opposition to what we believe, then one is automatically accused of close mindedness, close mindedness is not seeing things different than another as much as it is not being willing to appreciate others opinions. My opinion of Twilight is different yes, but that is the very cause you champion in your closing words. Kind of double standard isn’t it. Unless of course you just believe the whole world should bow down and agree with your superior intellect and majestic opinion. But then again where is the diversity in that???
In fact QUINN, if you were reading clearly you would see that I wasn't attacking Juline and her reading choices at all, I was actually complimenting My good friend Jeff and his wife on a better than fiction love that they are living. And voicing a personal concern I have with the BOOK its self.

Man and women are that they might have joy, great point, what is the definition of Joy maybe you should Google that word and give us all your incredible insight on that definition, and then look up entertainment, pleasure, and see if they have the same meaning. You might be surprised at what you find.
Anyway, good banter is good for the soul, but only if I didn't offend anyone in the process, if I did then I am truly sorry. Quinn no hard feelings just difference of opinion, I must make clear that I would never consider myself better than anyone else, because that just simply is not true. I along with most poeple am broken and seek to improve, opinions do not make the man, they just merely strive to define a portion of him.

First off let me say my post was a little on the harsh side and I wish nothing but the best for you Brigette and the twins. As a father of twins myself I’m sure you and I have a lot more in common than most. I am not going to respond to anything you said simply as a matter of respect and I just don’t have the time or desire to debate this topic. I would enjoy getting together sometime and catching up, plus I would love to meet the twins.
It’s probably a fair assumption to both of us that written text can often be difficult to read in the spirit that it is intended.

I just love that my wife is getting so many posts to our blog.
Marty I have to say that when I first read your post I couldn’t believe what I was reading. It’s just a book. I understand your thoughts on true love I am glad that we have all found it in our lives when so many don’t.
My understanding of the book is that these kids fall in Love with each other. I haven’t read them yet I will have to get on that. Love is all around we all have different types of love so if a vampire and a human want to make sexy time in a book then let them go for it.
I love the fact that my wife got into this book so much and she just loves reading it.
I always try to remember that we all see things in our own way and sometimes it’s very different then the way that others see things. Love is now one of the things that I would put in that category. But As John Lennon said “All we need it love”.
I believe that all we need is love and a 45.
HI! Can I just say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of these posts... although I did feel like I was being nosy or something... but totally entertaining. It was almost as good as reading the Twilight Series... although I must admit that I haven't finished Breaking Dawn. I have had this little girl taking up a lot of my time. I guess it is kindof good because I can savor the last book and make it last longer! Just so you know, I am IN LOVE with the books too. When I finish, I'd be more than happy to discuss with ya!
