KOHEN is 1!

I wanted to post a little look back on Kohen, the early days. I can not even believe that he is 1 years old. I am freaking out! I really feel like I just had him. This past year just flew by so quickly. It is funny to think that I was worried that when I had Kohen that some how I would not be able to love him as much as I love Adi. It is so funny how much I love my kids...whether it is the first born or the 10th it doesn't matter... ( No I am no way having 10 kids! Just making a point.) Anyhoo!...I LOVE my kids! I never knew the kind of love that a mother encompasses. It is so powerful! My kids are my whole world...just as they should be. I was scared at first because I was so used to Adi and girl things but I am pretty much a pro now with the boy "stuff"! Ok, I'll just say it!...I was intimidated a little by the whole boy anatomy but as soon as I changed the first diaper I was over it. I just don't deal with one of those...I am just so much more used to my own stuff! Oh you all know what I am trying to say! I am all good now...I think I was just scared of the unknown of what it would be like to have a boy. But now...I am in love with my little man and relish in the funny, sweet, hilarious, and tender personality that is developing. I am sad this first year is over already but excited for what is coming. Happy 1st Birthday Kohen! We all love and adore you so much!

Kohen was born September 28, 2007 @ 1:55 p.m.

6 lbs. 15 oz.

He started small but got real big real quick...what a good little eater!

His birthday was kinda all weekend so stay tuned for pics!

California was F-U-N!

We're back!!! So lets start with the best part...I freakin rocked it on the wake board. I didn't get up the first time but after that I got the hang of it. I even went out of the wake and even got some air. I loved it! I had so much fun!

Adi and Kohen had fun at the lake too. Well...that is until we got a couple waves come over the bow of the boat and she FREAKED OUT! She did like the house boat a lot. Kohen loved everything about the lake...being outside, riding in the boat, and even loved being in the water. I think he thought it was his big bath tub. He got in with a life jacket and was splashing the whole time. I had so much fun going to lake and boating. Thanks Justin and Ivie and Jarett too for sharing your boat and wake boarding expertise. Thanks to the Murdochs too! I have so many memories of the house boat and I am glad that my kids have that too.
Adi loved playing with her cousins. It was kinda hard at times with there being three girls wanting to play together all at the same time but they had SO MUCH FUN! We had to cut our trip a little short so when we had to leave Adi was really sad to say good-bye. Caroline had school so Adi and Haidyn played a lot and got really crazy sometimes running around but they had such a blast. I love that they love each other so much.
Here is all five grand kids...for now! We will be adding another in April when Jannae and Brady welcome their bun in the oven...also know as Stanley (they don't know if it is a boy or a girl but that is what they call it! Funny, huh!)
Here are Kohen and Taylor. They are ,I think, like 2 months apart and they don't really play with each other quite yet. They kind of just co-exist.
Adi and Haidyn were playing constantly but I think this picture is funny because normally Haidyn was the one tackling Adi. They play so funny!
Kohen was pretty clingy while he was there.Freakin mamma's boy! He wasn't sure about where he was. Not to mention that Daddy wasn't around either. Well, this is what he did when anyone but me picked him up. "hmmm, your not mommy! Do I know you?"

Kohen was surrounded by girls until the boys got home from work...I think that was half his problem...He was all alone with a bunch of crazy women! Ahhh!...Over all, our trip was awesome!I had fun seeing my family. I got too see my Mom and Dad=), Jannae but not Brady because he was out of town =( and Haylie and Ivie and my brothers...I really miss my brothers. They are hard working boys so I don't get to see them very often. Jarett even gave me a crazy ride on the Harley...woohoo rock on, dude! Oakdale was my home town where I grew up until I was 16 when I moved to Utah. It was crazy how many people I ran into in the grocery store. It was weird but awesome to see everyone. I had a very good trip!
We did get some sad news! The first Sunday morning we were there we found out that my Grandpa Petersen (my moms dad) died. It is sad but we are happy to know that he is in a better place. We love you Grandpa! In Adi's words...Peace out, be safe!

I'm goin back to Cali!

After making excuse after excuse for not being able to go back to my home town of Oakdale ...well, mostly I couldn't get over the cost... I am going!!! Sadly, Jeff is staying home to work (hardworking hubby!) but also I think he will enjoy having 'Jeff time' while we are gone. Some one needs to hold down the fort, right. I am excited to see my family. I love living back in Utah and I wouldn't change it for anything but I was so close to all of them in Jersey. It will be nice to hang out with my fun, crazy, loud family...I love my family, even if we are freakin' nuts! Ha! ha!
Anyhoo...I am taking my computer and camera so I should be able to post while I am there. I hope so! Those of you that are in Cali...I am coming and get your party pants on...I want to have a butt load of fun while I am there! Woohoo! I am excited...California here we come!!!
oh...ok so Oakdale isn't that close to the beach but the picture works right...maybe we will have to make a trip to the beach!...hmmm!

Mr. Walkn' Boy

I said in my last post that I would be adding some videos of Kohen here ya go! The first two are at the museum the other weekend the other is at Kohen's favorite place to be...HOME SWEET HOME! He is still a little wobbly but these videos were just a little over a week ago and he is already much better. He's just walking all over and when he is really happy with himself he walks in little circles. You could say it is his little walking jig. I love it! He is just getting more and more personality everyday!...He is getting into everything and one of his favorite things to do is make messes for me to find. He really has taken to walking so fast...go Kohen little Mr. walkn' boy!

Labor Day Weekend!

Our weekend started on Friday night when we just hung out at home and relaxed. On Saturday we took the morning as it came. Jeff had some work phone calls to make so we just hung out. We called out friends Brooke and Ty and asked if they would want to go to the Tree house Museum with us. Yes of course! Adi and Haylie had so much fun together! I had more than enough pics to share so enjoy the slide show of our fun Saturday at The Tree house Museum with our great friends the Gibson's. (congrats on your new baby boy! Welcome Jake!)

Jeff was doing the dishes on Sunday and called for me to come look at my little boy. He always likes hanging around when we are doing dishes but this time he was a little too involved. Crazy kid!
Big news...KOHEN IS WALKING! We will follow up this post with some videos of him walking but I was just wanting to let everyone now. Not even one yet and he is walking. What a cool kid. He has been taking steps here and there but wouldn't just take off...until this weekend. Now he is walking everywhere and he thinks he is the coolest. I think he was just being stubborn until he had it mastered and now he is just showing off. Jeff also had some fun with Kohen when he turned him into a little Karate Kid. I thought he wouldn't like it on his head but he loved it! Once again...quite a little show off!I thought the pic below was funny because it looked like he was doing a punch, or maybe even a Karate move or something. ~~~Monday~~~
On Monday we just hang out around the house and watched some movies. It was really nice to have no where to go. We did, however, go to Tie Pan that evening to check out the Halloween stuff they had put out. Jenn and G-ma Beth met us there and we had a lot of fun. I told Adi she could pick out some treats for her tea party. SHE LOVES PLAYING TEA PARTY! We picked out two but then Grandma let her go crazy. That is a Grandma's job, right! As soon as we got home we had our tea party with her new treats. She had a blast!...I did too!

Needless to say...I couldn't have asked for a better Labor Day weekend!
