4th of July Weekend

Our 4th of July was pretty chill. We were planning on sleeping in but the fact that we are the second house in from the main road in West Point made that impossible. The West Point parade started at 8:30 a.m. and we heard the front of the parade coming...it was the fire trucks and police cars. Whoo! Whoo! Fun, right! We woke up...didn't really have choice...and went out and watched the parade. Adi liked that they were throwing candy and I am pretty sure Kohen enjoyed it too. We went over to our friend Brooke and Ty Gibson's house where we had dinner and the kids as our entertainment. They had little kiddie pools, slip and slide, and a trampoline. Adi had a blast hanging out with one of her new friends...Hailee Gibson. We couldn't pull her away even to eat... she was just having too much fun. For fireworks that night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Kings house. We did our own little pack of fireworks that you can see Kohen loved. He just sat in the cart holding onto them and hitting them with his hands with a big smile. A pyro in the making I think. After our little tub of fireworks was all gone and we were burnt out on sparklers we watched the Layton City fireworks show. I think that Kohen had a great first 4th. It was nice to just go with the flow and hangout. Happy 4th to all of you who enjoyed the holiday weekend. I know we all did!....bang...blast...boom...pop....crash...those are my fireworks sounds! Ha ha!

Baby Boy Kohen!

Kohen is so funny! I took these pictures about a week ago and I have meant to post them. Kohen is pulling some funny faces and I thought I would share them. He is getting so big. He will be 9 months in just a couple days. He is teething which is just a blast but other than being fussy every now and then he just a happy kid. He just crawls all over the house mostly following me where ever I go. He is starting to have fun with his big sister too. He just thinks she is hilarious...she gets a little rough sometimes but he can take most of it. He is getting some bumps and bruises because he just so curious. He is into everything he can get his little hands on. He is still a momma boy though...actually right now as I type this he is pulling on my pants wanting me...sometimes it is nice to know he loves me so much...other times....grrr! Well, enjoy the funny faces of our baby boy Kohen!

zoo much fun!!!

The zoo was just too much fun! I thought I would share just a few more pics and the video of the kids riding the carousel....when I asked Adi what her favorite animal was she said it was the little tiny monkey...I think it was just because it was so little tiny...she is upsessed with little tiny things. I think she really liked the baby giraff too...she wasn't too sure about the snakes! I didn't like those much either!...Anyhoo...enjoy!

Elephant Birthday @ the Zoo!

So we went to the zoo! I was watching the news last week and saw that it was going to be Dari the elephants birthday on Saturday...Adi loves the zoo so I thought it would be fun to go. We missed them giving her her elephant sized cupcake but we had so much fun! Adi loves the Zoo and Kohen stayed awake the whole time. He was so funny he was singing the whole time we were walking around. We had the stroller but he wasn't in it much. He was wanting to look at everything just like everyone else. For those of you that haven't heard the singing of Kohen when he is fighting sleep it's like an... "AHHH!" sound but gets louder and quieter, up and down and up and down. It is so funny! .....oh! The other reason I knew Adi would love it is that they just got a new carousel with all the endangered animals on it. The money you pay to ride go to help the endangered animals! Cool,huh! Adi is all about the carousel...she loves them! She had very little patients when we were waiting for Jeff to get our tickets so we could ride. She also couldn't decide which animal she wanted to ride on...she finally settled on the zebra. Right in front of the zebra was what Kohen rode on...a big silver back gorilla!Oh, man did he love it! He was smiling as soon as he got on and was hitting the gorilla the whole time...like he wanted to go faster or something!So funny! I am happy to say that we all enjoyed our visit to the zoo! We found a park!

The kids and I were home yesterday sick of the house and bored... we didn't really have anywhere to go, and going somewhere for no reason is too expensive these days, gas prices are out of control! I am sure you all agree that gas is rediculous...anyhoo! Jeff got home and off we went on a search for a park near the house. Man did we find a nice one! We had such a fun time...well until Adi fell and experienced her first skinned knees. Dumb flip flops! Even though we had to go home to tend to Adi's boo boos we had found our park! Kohen even got on the swings...Adi did too! She insisted that she swing one more time before we go home...skinned knees and all! She is one tough chick...she gets that from her mommy! Ha ha! I am excited to go back. It is only down the street and it will be a good escape from sitting at home...it is so close we could walk even...in your face gas prices!!!

So I have this camera that is kinda moody...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I got it out yesterday and found some pics on it that are pretty darn cute. So I thought I would post them...I'm pretty sure these were taken right before we moved...right around Adi's birthday...that was the end of April. They are just so dang cute that I wanted to share them.

You can't really tell what his shirt says but it says "HEART BREAKER" ....what heart beaker he is...isn't that the cutest thing you've ever seen! I think so! Watch out ladies!...

So I have always just looked at the blog and had somewhat of an input on what Jeff does with it but I have never really added to it. I am now going to post and have an active roll in out blog. So get excited....are you excited?...good!....and you better comment...if you like it say so!!!!

Driving around

I really don't know what to title this post.

Its been a busy week for me. I started my new job and I can say that I really enjoy it. My head was spinning the first day or two from all the new information. My new Co workers have been full of praise which is a surprise. Everyone has been a great help. I really enjoy it.

Kohen is really getting around these days. He's a much happier little boy now that he can get around on his own.

So whats new with you.

Well the Kings are now settled in our new home. Utah is great, its been awesome so far. The kids are doing great, as you might have seen Kohen is starting to crawl and is getting faster everyday. He also loves to swing his arms and hit. We have to watch him because he will grab at anything that you have and he is super quick. His other love is to blow raspberry's , thats all the kid lives for to made rude noises. As Juline says he is very much a boy.

Adi is loving her new friends, she also loves her new sparkle house. I told her that when we get to utah she would get her own computer, I have a old laptop that wasn't taking a charge so I told her that I would get it fixed and it could be all hers and she could push all the buttons that she wanted. Well late the other night as she needed to go to the bathroom she reminded me that We were now in Utah and she wanted her computer. The next day I pulled it out and got it to charge. So Adi now has her very own laptop that she can play with and push all the buttons that she wants. She also asked if she could check her e-mail. She also got her very own kid sissors.


I am ready to get back to work as my vacation here is ending on the 2nd. Its going to be a challenge to start over and be the new guy again but I look forward to it. Its been nice spending time with my family.
